LeoVegas AB moves on Spanish ‘soft launch’

Stockholm-listed online gambling group LeoVegas AB has announced the ‘soft launch’ of its first Spanish domain – LeoVegas.es.

This July, LeoVegas governance announced that it had secured approved DGOJ licenses, allowing the online gambling group to operate B2C casino and sportsbook provisions for the regulated Spanish online gambling marketplace.

Detailing a quick turnaround, the online gambling group launches a ‘lite version’ of its flagship LeoVegas vertical, hosting a limited selection of online casino games.

In previous corporate updates, Gustaf Hagman LeoVegas Group Chief Executive has underlined developing a Spanish language profile as a key corporate directive of LeoVegas continued international expansion.

The announcement sees Spain becomes LeoVegas AB ‘7th locally regulated operational market’

“With LeoVegas position as “King of Casino” we are now launching in Spain, with the ambition to take the mobile position. Today, only 13% of all games in Spain are online, compared to 50% in Sweden. We think this is very interesting and in line with our growth ambitions. This is because the Spanish online market has strong growth going forward, as gambling goes more and more online” details Hans Uhrus Communications Director LeoVegas.

“We are very happy to offer games in Spain only two weeks after we received our license. It shows strength, commitment and speed within LeoVegas and that our experience from regulated markets is a competitive advantage.”
