Australia ASX-listed Tabcorp Holdings has undertaken a series of ‘Executive General Management’ appointments seeking to strengthen its leadership team, following the firm’s merger enlargement with main market rival Tatts Group plc.

Last week Tabcorp governance confirmed the appointment of Luke Waldren from online competitor  Sportsbet.com.au (Paddy Power Betfair) as new Executive General Manager of Group Marketing.

The ASX enterprise details that Waldren will be tasked with developing Tabcorp’s new digital identity and marketing strategy for the firm’s enlarged brand portfolio.

Waldren is expected to join Tabcorp’s executive leadership team at the end of the month.

Supporting the appointment of Waldren and further restructuring its leadership executive team, Tabcorp has appointed former Australian Turf Club CEO Darren Pearce as General Manager for Media & International.

Pearce will be charged with overseeing the development of Sky Racing World, relaunching Tabcorp’s tote proposition, and expanding Tabcorp racing and wagering assets internationally.

At an operational level, Tabcorp has promoted former Trading Director Andy Wright to General Manager of Wagering, taking leadership of the firm’s sports betting divisions and combined risk management.
