SBC (Sports Betting Community) has strengthened its talent base once again with two new key hires in business development and sales in the shape of David Knight and Pras Sri.
Knight is joining the organisation from NBCUniversal in the new role of Group Business Director, which includes business operations, strategy and business development in its brief.
Knight brings extensive experience in business development and strategy in the media industry, having worked for top global media companies as well as media start ups. He was most recently Business Development Director at NBCUniversal International in London, after earlier roles with Disney, Arts Alliance Media and as part of the founding team at FilmWave.
Founder & CEO Rasmus Sojmark commented: “It is a real coup for SBC to be able to attract talent of the calibre of David to the team. He joins us with an impressive CV already under his belt and his knowledge and contacts in the wider business media complement our existing extensive betting and gaming network.”
Knight added: “I’ve been watching the growth of SBC for a few years now, so I am delighted to be able to come on board at such an exciting time. With projects such as our new Betting on Sports America conference next year, there are already plenty of avenues to explore in order to help such a great team grow the business.”
Joining Knight in SBC’s London office is popular sales professional Pras Sri, who has taken on the role of International Sales Manager.
Sri has eight years experience in event sponsorship, mostly in gaming, and was recently Head of Sponsorship & Key Account Director for Clarion Gaming’s conferencing events portfolio.
Sojmark commented: “It’s great to be able to bring Pras on board to bolster our existing sales team. His experience and energy have already proven to be a great asset to SBC and its partners as we continue to grow.”
Sri said: “I’m really pleased to be able to join Team SBC as they continue to put on high quality events for the gambling industry such as Betting on Football, Betting on Sports and the Betting on Sports America. I look forward to catching up with everyone in Amsterdam next week.”
