PSV signs Asian betting partner

PSV Eindhoven has signed online entertainment site Wellbet as the clubs official Asian betting partner.

Under the terms of the deal, due to commence on January 1 of next year and run until mid 2020, the bookmaker is to be granted exposure at PSV’s Philips Stadium and usage of the clubs logo in official campaigns.

Toon Gerbrands, PSV General Manager, said. “It is known that PSV has been focusing on sponsorship revenue from the gambling market for a long time.

“In addition, we focus our arrows on markets outside Europe, where Asia is a very interesting market. There has been contact with Wellbet. We are very content that we can increase the range of PSV outside Europe with such a big player. “

This follows news of Wellbet’s multi season deal with Italy’s Serie A, giving the company comprehensive integration into match graphics, and visual advertising across all of the league’s matches broadcast in Asia.

Mark Lu, communications director from Wellbet, added:  “We are convinced that the collaboration between PSV and Wellbet will be successful.

“Wellbet is a leading brand in sports and entertainment in Asia. PSV is, in turn, a top team in the Eredivisie where many world-famous footballers have begun their career. We are looking forward to an innovative partnership between both companies.”

PSV, the 23 time champions of the Netherlands, are currently five points clear of Ajax at the summit of the Eredivisie.
