The first social gaming company to offer free-to-play casino style games, Playtika has agreed to become the primary sponsor of Spain’s oldest football club, Sevilla.
As part of the deal, Playtika will advertise the World Series of Poker’s free to play poker room on the iconic Sevilla shirt throughout the 2017/18 season.
Playtika branding will also appear around Sevilla’s 42,500 Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium, on the players entrance and on the clubs bus.
In July 2016, Playtika was purchased from Caesars Interactive Entertainment by Chinese game developer Giants Interactive for $4.4 billion.
Arik Sandler, Playtika’s chief financial officer said: “The sponsorship agreement with Sevilla, which shares similar values with Playtika, will enable us to reach new and diverse audiences.
“This unique cooperation will strengthen the company’s brands, which are already enjoyed by tens of millions of players around the world.”
Whilst Playtika are the primary sponsor of the La Liga side, Bwin remain the official betting partner of Sevilla until 2018.
