AgeChecked and Rdentify to collaborate on breaking at-risk identification barriers

AgeChecked and Rdentify will unify tech and AI capacities to strengthen the ‘identifying of vulnerable customers’ for igaming operators.

Forming a new partnership, online ID verification specialist AgeChecked will work with igaming risk assessment software provider Rdentify to develop new comprehensive tools monitoring customer engagements.

The alliance will see AgeChecked and Rdentify share tech and engineering resources to improve online gambling operators efficiencies with regards to identifying vulnerable customers engaging with their services.

Announcing the agreement, AgeChecked and Rdentify stated that the two firms’ combined expertise on ID verification, customer risk assessment and CRM cover all critical components of a customer’s journey.

Rdentify CEO Daniel Brookes noted that the collaboration with AgeChecked has been formed at a critical time for the online gambling industry, as compliance and customer care are placed at the forefront of the government’s review of the 2005 Gambling Act.

“Since 2017 in the UK, remote operators have been fined more than £63.5m by the UK Gambling Commission for social responsibility failings,” he said. “Operators rely solely on customer support agents to recognise the signs of problem gambling during their live chat interactions. Globally, the iGaming industry is highly regulated and fast-growing, with a strong focus on player protection.

“Rdentify provides a scalable natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning-based engine which flags end-user vulnerability risk during live chat interactions.”

Key areas of focus will see AgeChecked and Rdentify work on developing machine-learning algorithms and modules to provide customer service teams with earlier interventions of at-risk customers.

Furthermore, the partnership will focus on providing igaming teams with effective tools that can overcome the nuances of identifying at-risk customers across multiple markets.

Alastair Graham, the Founder and CEO of AgeChecked, said: “The issue of Responsible Gambling has never been more important, so we are delighted to partner with Rdentify in offering a holistic solution for operators.

“Combining AgeChecked’s cutting-edge age verification software with Rdentify’s live chat monitoring, our solution can ensure full compliance across every stage of the customer journey.

“We are committed to reducing gambling-related harm and helping operators obtain and maintain their regulatory compliance. We see innovative technological solutions such as those employed by Rdentify as being key in the fight against problem gambling.”
