Internet Vikings appoints Peter Ekmark as new CEO

Peter Ekmark has been appointed as the new CEO for Internet Vikings, a hosting and SEO content provider for the iGaming industry.

A month after securing its first major acquisition through Costa PBN, he arrives as part of a new series of changes for the company called ‘Internet Vikings 2.0’.

Formerly of William Hill, Jackpotjoy and Unibet, Ekmark has a strong track record from the operator side of the iGaming industry. He is expected to lead Internet Vikings’ expansion into both Asia and LatAm.

“I am delighted to be joining Internet Vikings,” said Ekmark. “It is a very innovative company with great potential that has been growing organically since it was founded 12 years ago. I look forward to joining the team and to support Internet Vikings through its next phase of expansion and international growth.”

Rickard Vikström, who co-founded the company alongside Victor Jerlin, added: “I am confident and happy to have Peter Ekmark joining as our CEO and I am now looking forward to working more with our customers and partners to refine our managed iGaming hosting solutions and Brand protection for our customers even further.”

Jesper Kärrbrink, Chairman of the Board, commented: “Having Peter Ekmark onboard as CEO for Internet Vikings means a lot.

“Peter complements the founders Rickard and Victor in a good way and with his experience, he will be instrumental in the future development of Internet Vikings.”
