Louis van Gaal could live to regret calling SunSport Reporter Neil Custis ‘fat man’ come May. 
The jibe was dished out following United’s 3-3 draw with Newcastle in mid January.
Custis has now issued the Man Utd boss a challenge of pounds vs points. The Sun’s Man Utd Correspondent has vowed to lose 28lb by the end of May, and believes he can shed more pounds than LVG and co. can gain points.
Never far from such a challenge, bookmaker Paddy Power has promised £1,000 to the winner to donate to a charity of their choice.
Custis addressed the Dutch manager: “So Louis, first of all, thanks for pointing out the weight issues on Tuesday night. I hadn’t actually noticed until you mentioned it. But now you have, the challenge is you’ve got to get more points than I lose pounds.”
He added: “I’m aiming for two stone between now and the end of May, so that’s 28lbs – you’ve got to get 28 points. There will be £1,000 from our friends at Paddy Power to go to the winner. Let’s get it on!”
