Ladbrokes has confirmed the appointment of Andrew Bagguley as Managing Director of Digital. Bagguley takes over the director role which was vacated by New Ladbrokes Chief Executive Jim Mullen as the operator looks to continue its positive digital recovery.

The appointment which was first announced by industry news source EGR Magazine, sees Bagguley promoted from his current position as Ladbrokes Mobile & Devices Director. The promotions further continues Jim Mullen’s re-structure of the operator senior management.

A proven technology operator Bagguley joined Ladbrokes from Deutsche Telekom in January 2014, overhauling the operator’s mobile product strategy with igaming technology suppler Playtech.

Bagguley will be tasked with continuing Ladbrokes digital growth which recorded a 71% profit increase in 2014 to £14 million (2013: £8.2 million). Ladbrokes governance have continually cited the importance of its digital vertical as the operator looks to recover market share from its closest competitors

In addition to the appointment of Bagguley as Digital Director, Ladbrokes have further confirmed the hiring of former bet365 Head of In-Play trading Glynn Carroll. Carroll will take over management duties and product strategy for Ladbrokes in-play betting markets.
