Amsterdam all set for latest Gaming in Holland conference

The seventh annual Gaming in Holland (GiH) conference is to get underway next week (Tuesday June 19 – Wednesday June 20) in the Dutch capital of Amsterdam, which promises to be “the place to connect with all the key players in the Dutch gaming industry”.

Amongst those set to be brought together are Erwin van Lambaart, CEO of Holland Casino, Niels Onkenhout, CEO of Nederlandse Loterij, and Marja Appelman, CEO of the Netherlands Gaming Authority, at the De Hallen Studios in the 19th century Amsterdam West district.

With a stacked two day conference programme lined up, a plethora of industry issues and topics are to be discussed, with day one set to focus on the latest regulatory and legal developments, whilst day two switches its focus to the possible opening of the Dutch retail betting market.

With a number of networking opportunities also afforded to those attending, amongst the specifics set to be featured across the two days is a discussion on whether the Netherlands is set to be the loser in light of European developments.

This comes in light of Spain recently celebrating the fifth anniversary of its successful online market debut, whilst Sweden is also poised to strike for quick market re-regulation.

GiH also states that you can “learn how to launch a successful iGaming brand in a liberalized Dutch remote market,” for which creative brand strategist Erik Pas offered a little insight “don’t follow the herd, be different by building a brand based on relevant values”.

Furthermore, GiH 2018 is to also see the inaugural Responsibility in Gaming Awards, which is set to be held at an exclusive awards dinner.

Here attendees can also show their support for Gehandicaptensport, a Dutch charity which helps to raise vital funds for disabled sports.

Ahead of GiH 2018, is stated that seven is very much the magic number, with the Netherlands ranked 7th among the EU28 in GDP per capita, as well as 7th with regards to the size of its gaming, betting and lottery market

Should you wish to attend GiH, you can do so by registering here.
