Catena elects AI pro Stephen Taylor-Matthews as new NED

The board of Catena Media Plc has elected Stephen Taylor-Matthews to serve as a Non-Executive Director (NED) of the Stockholm-listed iGaming media group.

An expert in data analytics and insights for sports betting and iGaming, Taylor-Matthews is the founder of Polynate – an innovation studio developing new AI engagements for sports audiences.

Taylor-Matthews has also led technology units and projects for Underdog Fantasy, GoatGaming, and Betgenius in previous roles.

The appointment coincides with the departure of Øystein Engebretsen from the board, who has served as a Non-Executive Director since September 2018.

Erik Flinck, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said: “Øystein has made a valuable and important contribution to Catena Media for more than six years. I warmly thank him for his efforts and wish him well in his current and future ventures.

At the same time, I am delighted to welcome Stephen Taylor-Matthews to the board. His experience and expertise will be a valuable asset to Catena Media as we move forward.”

Taylor-Matthews’ appointment will become effective once all necessary filings are made with the Malta Business Registry, and his term will run until the end of the next annual general meeting, in accordance with the Maltese Companies Act and Catena Media’s articles of association.
