Seeking to boost its UK brand profile, this weekend Betsson Group subsidiary Betsafe launched its new advertising campaign ‘Passion Overcomes the Odds’.
The 60-second TV advertisement was initially aired on Sky Sports channels this Saturday, with Betsafe marketing informing that further campaign spots would follow on ITV, Channel 4 and Eurosport broadcasts.
The campaign which features new Betsafe brand ambassador Tony Bellew, the former WBC world cruiserweight champion was developed by creative marketing agency Snap London and aims to highlight the connection between punter passion and live sports.
Announcing the launch of ‘Passion Overcomes the Odds’, Betsafe marketing further detailed that new ambassador Tony Bellew will be working on ‘various brand activations throughout the year’, with the boxer’s training and fight clothing featuring Betsafe branding. Bellew joins a host of Betsafe brand ambassadors and sponsorships including Harry Redknapp, Manchester City and Cage Warriors.
Betsafe Global Brand Manager, Neill Simpson, commented on the campaign launch: “Real gamblers know the odds are stacked against them; there are glorious moments in sport when an underdog defies those numbers and is able to astonish spectators by landing the knockout punch or scoring that last minute goal. Stats no longer seem as relevant as intuition, drive and passion, which will always prevail in sport.
“When possibility beats probability, unpredictability exceeds sure bets, and heart defies head – these are moments when we revel in being human. It’s when passion overcomes the odds – something we’re proud to convey in our latest campaign. We are delighted to welcome Tony Bellew as a Betsafe ambassador. His passion and drive are completely in line with our campaign and we’re looking forward to working closely with him over the next 12 months.”
