Sweden’s Gambling Authority, Spelinspektionen, has issued a ban against Small House B.V. and the supply of its products to its Swedish audience.
According to the regulator, Curacao-licensed Small House has operated in the country through its bcgame.top website, despite not having the necessary certification.
Evidence suggesting intent to target Swedish customers include the website’s option to pay with Swedish currency, as well as linked affiliates using promotions in Swedish to advertise Small House’s services.
Spelinspektionen has also stated that there were no restrictions obstructing Swedish customers from creating an account and participating in the games on offer.
No statement regarding the indicated wrongdoings has been issued by the company yet.
The Swedish regulator has demanded Small House to comply with the ban order immediately.
Just last week, another company was also chased away from the Swedish market over the lack of a licence.
Hitz Gaming OÜ was found to be in breach of Sweden’s gambling regulations under similar circumstances, with the company stating that all shortcomings have now been addressed and that all necessary precautions have been taken not to target Swedish players.
Spelinspektionen commented: “The purpose of the regulation is that gambling should be channelled to offers from responsible, reliable and controllable players.
“The regulation is based on the fact that everyone who acts on the Swedish gambling market must have a Swedish gambling licence and that other actors without a licence must be shut out.”
