Stockholm-listed sports betting platform and software supplier Kambi Group Plc has confirmed the appointment of current board member Cecilia Wachtmeister as Executive Vice President of Business and Group Functions.
A seasoned executive in tech enterprise and commercial development strategies, Wachtmeister has formerly advised the Kambi board since 2017.
Wachtmeister is the former VP of Global Account management for Sony Mobile (2016-2018)and ten-year leadership executive and Swedish telecoms multi-national Ericsson AB (2008-2016).
The appointment sees Wachtmeister step down from the Kambi board, with the executive reporting directly to Kambi Group CEO Kristian Nylen.
Updating investors, Kristian Nylen commented “Cecilia has proven to be a major asset to the Kambi Board over the past two years, demonstrating her business acumen and ability to gain a quick and detailed understanding of Kambi and its competitive landscape.
“While I’m sure the Board will miss Cecilia’s unquestionable talent, I’m delighted to welcome her to the Executive Management Team, where her passion and valuable experience will assist Kambi’s smooth transition from mid-tier company to large organisation.”
Kambi informs that Wachtmeister will split her between Kambi London and Stockholm offices, tasked with responsibility Group Commercial, Marketing Communications, Strategy and Human Resources functions.
