Updating the market, Spanish gambling operator Grupo Codere (Codere) has confirmed the executive appointment of Oscar Iglesias as its new Director of Group Corporate Development.
The restructured gambling firm has established a new corporate development unit, which will be led by Iglesias in order to assist ongoing corporate growth projects combined with Codere’s aggressive international expansion strategy.
Reporting directly to Codere governance, the operator’s corporate development unit will assist in strategic planning, maximising business capacity and further consult Codere group leadership on key decision making.
Having previously served as Codere Deputy CFO (2015 – 2017) Oscar Iglesias is promoted to the leadership position. A seasoned executive in venture funding and financing for leisure, gambling and entertainment sectors, Iglesias will work with a number of Codere business units and leaders to improve group-wide internal reporting.
In its corporate update, Codere governance highlighted that Igelsias was the best candidate for the role having previously served as a key stakeholder in the group’s restructure, gaining valuable insight on all Codere operating divisions.
