International restructure sees Giovanna D’Esposito depart as Sky Bet Italia MD

Sky Betting & Gaming (SB&G) has confirmed that Sky Bet Italia Managing Director Giovanna D’Esposito has departed from the operator following a reorganisation of the firm’s international business divisions.

An Italian betting industry veteran, D’Esposito had joined SB&G in 2015 acting as Sky Bet Italia’s first MD.  D’Esposito who joined from market competitor Paddy Power Italy was tasked with leading Sky Bet Italia’s initial launch, brand marketing and operations.

Issuing a corporate statement, SB&G management thanked D’Esposito for her contribution at establishing Sky Bet within the growing Italian betting market. SB&G commented on the departure of D’Esposito

“Sky Betting & Gaming can confirm that Giovanna D’Esposito has left her post of MD Sky Bet Italia in Rome. We would like to thank Giovanna for her contribution towards getting Sky Bet Italia live and operational. We’ve now decided that the business will benefit from closer integration and support from our U.K. offices and management team.”

The independent bookmaker confirmed that moving forward its international business divisions will report directly to Sky Bet Managing Director Ted Moss.
