NordicBet extends Swedish Hockey League sponsorship

Betsson AB subsidiary NordicBet has extended its existing partnership with the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), the highest division of professional ice hockey in Sweden by becoming official sponsor of SHL season 2016/17.

NordicBet upgrade its sponsorship having served as SHL official betting partner since 2014. Announcing its partnership, NordicBet marketing stated that it was pleased to extent its profile within one of its most important markets.

The Scandinavian focused betting brand, will be promoted throughout SHL official media platforms , with NordicBet receiving high coverage placements throughout SHL match day venues.

NordicBet management stated that it would continue to support SHL social initiatives which will continue to promote the game of ice hockey within Scandinavia. 

NordicBet’s Commercial Director Jesper Svensson commented:

“The interest in hockey amongst our customers is massive and with the SHL sponsorship we wish to develop our hockey product and offer further, as well as expose the NordicBet brand to millions of hockey fans across Europe.

“Being one of the leading sports betting companies in the Nordics we are also making a clear statement that we want to support hockey in our region. This deal has vast potential both for us and the SHL.”
