SBC: How did you first get into sports betting?
Davide: I have always liked to follow and play sport in general, but my greatest passion has always been football. Since I was a child I have played and followed it by going to the stadium of my favorite team and following it on TV. Online sports betting did not exist but I had already begun betting by phone (very small sums on multiples without positive results).
SBC: At what point did you realize that you can make some real money from sports betting?
Davide: Then one day I contacted a well-known English bookmaker and I went to London. I asked him to open a collaboration with me as an agent (this lasted 10 years). In the meantime the frontiers of online betting opened and the work was going well. Standing in the field I saw bets of all kinds so from there I began to get an idea of what makes winning bets and I began to study some of the statistics. I realized that bankroll management and game type could bring gains, so I thought about investing a small amount of money in sports betting and so I started to do it professionally.
SBC:How did you come to select football as your chosen sport?
Davide: It has always been my favorite sport and that which I followed most. It is also the most popular sport in Italy and as I said before I started to play for my local team when I was a child. In the Italian league between ‘80 –’90 there were the best players of all time playing here. Every footballer had the ambition to come and play in Italy. Today I think I know every type of training of the Italian league and even foreign ones.
SBC: Are there any particular events that you look forward to throughout the year?
Davide: I have no particular events that I follow, but certainly I’m more prepared and informed about the Italian league, but thanks to the Internet I have no problem getting information and following other leagues. Our Pay TV platform broadcasts the English Premier League, the Spanish Primera Liga, German Bundesliga, French Ligue and Eredvise Dutch. So I ‘m able to perceive if a team is fit and to understand their type of game . Consequently I get good information for winning bets.
SBC: What kind of factors do you evaluate before making a selection?
Davide: Each Monday I begin to study the matches that will progress during the week. Team to team I check the probable lines, I check if there are injured or suspended players, analyse the progress achieved in the last six games, check their position in the standings and I rate the field factor. Thanks to these elements I can find interesting matches to bet on. Once I have selected the matches that I want to bet on, I make further analysis based on the odds assigned to my bet predictions. It’s rare for me to bet on odds under 2.00, nay I’m very inclined to bet on odds that are closer to 3.00.
SBC: What has been the biggest influence on your betting career?
Davide: My biggest influence was working for the bookmakers. When I worked for the bookmakers I saw a lot of “casual” bets made by people all over the world. Each of them has his own way to bet, but no one could make a profit. Every time that I was doing those bets or I was aware of those , I realized that most of the “casual” bets were losers. Then one of the important things I realised about betting was “never bet following your own thoughts, but only based on the analysis, statistics and a strategy to apply”
SBC: Do you have any future plans in regards to your service?
Davide: I believe that all those who are following me and are betting on my tips cannot complain. We are still going strong and we are getting quite good results. It is normal that I’m trying to improve more and more my betting “model” and win more again, but I have no plans for the future. If there will be some small changes certainly they will be done very carefully because should I overturn what now makes us gain?
SBC: What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your betting career?
Davide: It’ a challenge for me each time that I study a bet and I post it on my tips. But the biggest challenge is that time when you have a negative period and a series of losing bets. It is precisely the moment you must be even more focused, not get caught up in the rush to recover immediately, keep calm and continue as you have always done. However, after a storm there is always good weather!
SBC: Do you have a favourite team/horse that you follow regularly?
Davide: To be honest I almost never bet on my favorite team or favorite teams, but if I notice that a team is in a good position in the standings I keep an eye on it, and constantly try to analyze if I can bet on it .Unfortunately the classic teams that many bettors follow such as Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona etc are valued less than they should be by the bookmakers, so it is not worth betting on them. Unless you pick the wrong match for them, bet against and catch amazing odds.
SBC: How do you keep calm when you hit a run of losing bets?
Davide: At the beginning it was not easy to keep calm when a negative period occurred but then I noticed that by continuing my work, the results came back and came back even better, so now I feel calm when it happens. At the very least I decrease my bet and my stake to lose as little as possible while waiting out the storm.
SBC: How do you organize your bank management?
Davide: Bank Management or Bankroll is one of the key things to consider for a bettor. There are many rules to follow. One of the fundamental rules is “on every event don’t bet more than 10% of your bankroll, you must always set aside enough money to be able to re-bet in order to complete the established strategy ”
SBC: What is the best reason you could give to anyone who was thinking about following your service?
Davide: I believe that it costs nothing trying to follow me once. After you will evaluate whether to continue or not. Surely those who are doing it are enjoying good profits, you can check it from my statistics. However in what I do , I do not put just my experience , my time and my skills, but I’m the first to bet on my tips, so I put my money in too. I would like to say that not only do I not want that those who follow me to lose their money and show them that I’m not a professional, but I don’t want to waste my money myself! I trust in myself !
