Ladbrokes loses tax avoidance case at a cost of £54m

High street bookmaker Ladbrokes has lost a £54m tax avoidance court case after HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) sucessfully argued that the firm’s attempt to avoid Corporation Tax was barred by the law.
