Leading industry affiliate marketing publisher Better Collective AS has confirmed that it will launch a ‘Greek Bookmaker Awards show hosted by subsidiary Betarades on 23 January 2020.

Confirming the event, Better Collective states that it seeks to ‘shine a light’ on the Greek market and further support its best bookmakers and wider stakeholders.

The 12-category awards night will be hosted and judged by Better Collective’s flagship Greek sports betting portal Betarades.gr.

In its update, Better Collective informs that all categories (except two) will be judged utilising Greek data gathered by its publishing since September 2019.

Furthermore, judging and processing of information will be overseen by an independent third-party ensuring impartiality.

The event’s marquee ‘Best Sports Betting Bookmaker in Greece Players’ Choice Award‘ will be voted by Betarades player community. Better Collective has published its full list of categories and competitors at – https://greekbookmakerawards.gr/en/#categories

Athens’ iconic ‘Lighthouse’ at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) has been commissioned as the venue hosting Betarades first Greek Bookmaker Awards.

Shona ODonnell, Head of Strategic Events at Better Collective, said: “The Greek Bookmakers Awards is in line with Better Collective’s vision to empower iGamers, as online bettors in Greece will now have the opportunity to get a transparent overview of which operators are best-in class within specific criteria.

2020 is set to be a crucial year for all Greek industry stakeholders, as the government implements new licensing and regulatory conditions to modernise Greek gambling frameworks for online gambling verticals.

“The iGaming industry is filled with great award shows, but we think there is a need for an award that targets the end-consumer that will help them make the decision of where to bet based on criteria that are relevant to them,” added ODonnell. “We look very much forward to celebrating the operators in the Greek market.”
