Cyprus gaming tech firm GR8_TECH is as confident as ever in its payment processing abilities, particularly of its cryptocurrency platform.

The company has been involved in the crypto scene for a number of years, and sees particular opportunities in the burgeoning crypto betting industry.

To test the speed of its own crypto payments solution, the firm organised an event at Donington Park Circuit, an iconic venue in UK motorsports.

The test saw a crypto transaction compete with a car racing round the East Midlands circuit.

GR8_TECH is more than happy with the results, with its crypto payment beating the racecar by 15 seconds.

“Speed is easy to promise and much harder to demonstrate,” said  Yevhen Krazhan, Chief Sales Officer at GR8_TECH.

“We wanted operators to see the technology working rather than read another claim about it.”

Crypto betting is a huge sector, particularly in .com markets. It is a regulatory grey area, however, and in some markets is outright illegal, such as in the UK, Europe’s largest gambling market.

Many stakeholders see a regulated future for the sector, however. Estonia has been widely touted as a potential launchpad for regulated crypto betting within the framework of the EU’s Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulations.

In GR8_TECH’s case, the firm sees crypto’s main benefit to bettors as being one thing above all else – speed, something it believes its Donington Park stunt clearly showed.

The group’s flagship product, which it showcased at Donington, is GREAT CRYPTO TURNKEY.

The payments solution has crypto processing built into its platform, and allows bettors to manage fiat and crypto balances through one account instead of moving between disconnected payment environments.

“This test shows what GREAT_CRYPTO TURNKEY is built to do: remove unnecessary waiting from the payment journey and keep players moving from funding to playing,” Krazhan added.

“Every second can affect conversion, and we take this very seriously.”
