Two gaming-focused B2B platforms, Sweepium and Jurnii, are likely hoping to expand their reach in the global industry after securing accolades at a recent pitch contest.
The duo emerged on top at the recent Xanada Pitch Contest held in Valetta, Malta, hosted by Xanda Investments, an iGaming-oriented investment firm. The contest sought to identify brands that are ‘building the future’ in gaming, as Xanada put it.
“We built Xanada Investments to be the kind of fund we wished existed when we were founders,” said Vladimir Malakchi, CEO and Managing Partner at Xanada Investments.
“This contest is just the beginning. We’re actively looking to back exceptional founders across the iGaming space — and provide them with the resources, network, and capital they need to reach their full potential. If you’ve got a product with traction, a strong team, and a scalable vision — we want to hear from you.”
Sweepium walked away from the contest with the Grand Winner prize, having been recognised for its B2B platform and game aggregation services targeting the sweepstakes segment of betting and gaming.
The firm was awarded $50,000 in equity investment and a strategic partnership with Xanada investments as a result. To secure the top spot, the firm was assessed by a panel which evaluated its idea, business model, team, market potential, and progress and traction.
Securing the Public Choice Award was Jurnii, UX firm which uses AI tools to deliver automated insights and design recommendations. This victory was decided via public vote, and as a reward the firm has secured partner offerings from the likes of 15M Mastery and AffPapa, among others.
Fraser Dunk, Jurnii CEO, said: “The Xanada pitch contest provided our start-up with a platform to not only showcase our business to the four judges, but to the whole industry.
“Our pitch led to a number of concrete opportunities from investors, advisors and potential clients. It was a huge and rare opportunity to stand side by side on the biggest
stage with the best of the industry.”
