Betsson AB has expanded its C-level executive team by adding two-new leadership roles focused on strengthening the global operations of the Stockholm-listed online gambling group.
The decision sees Betsson expand its executive team to five C-level members led by President and Group Chief Executive, Pontus Lindwall.
Jesper Svensson has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Operations (CEO of Operations), and Kristian Saliba takes on the role of Chief Financial Officer of Operations (CFO of Operations).
They join Martin Öhman, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Triin Toomemets-Krasnitski, Chief Legal Officer (CLO), on the executive team.
Svensson, who joined Betsson in 2017, previously served as CEO of Malta, overseeing the company’s largest operating unit and driving the growth of its global brands. Over his 12 years at Betsson, he has held key roles such as Chief Commercial Officer and Managing Director of Betsson.com.
Saliba has been with Betsson since 2008, starting as Financial Controller for the Malta unit. Since 2013, he has been responsible for financial planning across Betsson’s operations and has served as CFO of Operations since 2012.
These appointments align with Betsson’s strategy to strengthen leadership in both new and established markets. In 2024, the company achieved record-breaking growth, marking 11 consecutive quarters of growth in revenue and EBITDA since its corporate reorganisation in 2021.
This growth was driven by successful expansions into new European markets, including Greece, Estonia, and Italy, and launches in South American markets such as Colombia, Peru, and Buenos Aires.
Looking ahead to 2025, Betsson plans to enter the Brazil Bets market and enhance the platform capabilities of Inkabet, its Peruvian asset acquired last year. In 2025, Betsson will further upgrade its operating systems through a partnership with Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) to develop advanced AI modules and databases to support its global operations.
