Digitain has made its third major senior leadership appointment of the year, naming Grigor Asoyan as its new Deputy CEO of Technology.
Asoyan has worked for Digitain for over 10 years, having most recently held the position of Chief Technology Officer, assuming this position in 2018 after serving as Senior Software Engineer, Software Architect since 2012.
His move up the Armenia-based B2B supplier’s tech leadership ladder comes as Digitain targets an enhanced presence across various European markets, having opened a new head office in Bucharest in January to support operational growth, and partnering with ex-footballer Luis Figo for brand visibility.
Asoyan said: “I’m delighted in this new role within the business. Digitain has been a great brand to be part of over the last 10 years and has experienced growth in all areas of its operations across multiple global markets.
“I will look forward to this next part of my journey with the brand. We have been and will continue to focus on new experiences, innovations, and the latest digital technologies for all our partners and customers to ensure we continue empowering your success within the igaming supply chain.”
A graduate of Yerevan State University with a master’s degree in Informatics and IT Management, Asoyan has prior professional tech experience as a Software Developer for MLab ECA and Energize Global Services.
His appointment as Deputy CEO of Technology marks Digitain’s third senior leadership addition this year, following Simon Westbury’s assumption of Sport Generate CEO duties and the hiring of Iain Hutchison as Group Chief Revenue Officer (CRO),
“Grigor has demonstrated strong leadership and vision to our business throughout the last decade,” said Digitain Founder, Vardges Vardanyan.
“As we expand our global reach in new and existing markets, his contribution to technology and solutions will further consolidate our market position as a leading igaming provider. ”
