Updating the market, Nasdaq-listed industry technology supplier Scientific Games Corporation (SGC) has confirmed the appointment of Barry Cottle as new President & Group CEO.
Cottle is expected to take full leadership of SGC group operations on 1 June, replacing incumbent Kevin Sheehan, who will remain as a corporate senior advisor.
A seasoned technology and entertainment executive Cottle has led SGC’s digital and social gaming division SG Interactive since 2015. He has further held executive leadership positions at Electronic Arts and Zynga Gaming.
Cottle has been key stakeholder in SGC’s recent group M&A enlargement, focusing on expanding the firm’s digital assets, services and capabilities.

SGC governance confirmed that Cottle, would now be tasked with leading the firm’s enlarged entity, incorporating the assets of the recently acquired NYX Gaming Group.

SGC governance further confirms that Cottle will be supported by the appointment of Tim Butcher as Executive Vice President & Chief Product Officer, joining the Nasdaq technology firm from Consumer Solutions Group, Seagate Technology, where he served as Senior Vice President & General Manager.
