Nasdaq-listed industry technology provider Scientific Games Corporation (SGC) has confirmed the appointment of Robert O’Connor as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs.

Reporting directly to Group CEO Kevin Sheehan, O’Connor will lead and develop SGC’s global government and public affairs strategy, supporting long-term corporate growth initiatives.

O’Connor joins SGC’s executive team from Goldman Sachs, where he served as VP of Government Affairs for the Executive Office.

As government policy lead for SGC, O’Connor brings seasoned experience in legislative and regulatory advocacy which will guide SGC leadership activity in multiple jurisdictions and the firm’s relationship with government bodies and legislative stakeholders.

“Rob brings nearly three decades of government service and advocacy experience at the global, federal, state and local levels,” said Scientific Games Chief Executive Officer Kevin Sheehan.

“We look forward to capitalizing on his leadership, as we continue to grow and prosper in current jurisdictions, as well as expand into newly regulated territories.”
