Intralot recruits Michael Kogeler as Group COO

Greek lottery and gaming systems provider Intralot has announced the appointment of Michael Kogeler as Group Chief Operating Officer, following an extensive international search process.

Taking up his post next month, on May 2, Kogeler is set to be responsible for “business orchestration of its operations around the world,” more specifically dealing with the firm’s relationships with partners and customers, as well as the trading operations.

Antonios Kerastaris, Intralot Group Chief Executive Officer, stated: “I would like to extend a warm welcome to Mr. Kogeler and wish him success in his new role as part of our senior management and member of the Executive Committee.

“Michael brings to our company enormous experience and expertise from international markets and a broader understanding of modern technological trends in the era of digital transformation.

“His knowledge will help us tremendously upgrade the way we integrate best practices in our model to fully serve our clients and make our operations around the world more profitable and efficient.”

Kogeler arrives at Intralot from Microsoft, where he held the position of General Manager of Central and Eastern Europe, holding full accountability of fifteen countries.

During his fourteen year stay with the multinational technology conglomerate, Kogeler had held positions such as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer of the Middle East and Africa, General Manager for Consumer and Online in Belgium and Netherlands, in addition to a variety of Business Strategy roles.

In addition, during his twenty six year professional career, experience has also been built at other firms, including McKinsey Company and IBM Consulting.
