Scientific Games appoints Rich Schneider as group product strategy lead

Rich Schneider – Scientific Games

Nasdaq gambling technology supplier Scientific Games Corporation (SGC) has confirmed the appointment of Rich Schneider as Group Chief Product Officer (CPO).

A key new hire for SGC, Schneider has joined the executive team from Australia ASX competitor Aristocrat, where he served as CPO leading creative studios, hardware and product development.

Updating investors, SGC governance details that it has secured an ‘industry tech visionary’ to lead its enlarged group strategy, boosting the firm’s R&D capacity.

Maintaining a 30-year executive career, Schneider has also led tech and product divisions at Walker Digital Table Systems and Acres Gaming, in addition to numerous leadership roles at IGT Plc.

“Rich’s expertise in design, development and gaming makes him the perfect complement to our Scientific Games leadership team,” said Scientific Games President and CEO Barry Cottle.

“Combining Rich’s expertise and creativity with our talented teams will bring industry-leading products and technology to our partners and their players.”

Schneider takes leadership of SGC’s product roadmaps as the Nasdaq technology group seeks to become the leading omni-channel systems supplier for new incumbents competing within the nascent US sports betting market.

“I am thrilled to join Scientific Games to work on the next generation of great gaming products,” said Schneider. “Scientific Games is known for a culture of innovation and has brought amazing developments to our industry from player-favourite games to advanced cabinets and cutting-edge systems. It’s going to be a lot of fun to work with this team to deliver the next gaming innovations.”
