Less than a year since securing its platform provisions contract,  Toronto TSX-listed NYX Gaming Group (NYX) has confirmed that it has extended its interactive services partnership with Dutch state-owned gambling enterprise Nederlandse Loterij.

The two parties had begun working in March 2016, when NYX won the tender to supply the recently-merged Dutch gambling operations of Nederlandse Staatsloterij and De Lotto with interactive gaming platform provisions.

The extension of services will see NYX OPS platform will act as the player management system for Nederlandse Loterij and manage all lottery and sports betting products distributed through all retail and digital channels. Furthermore, under the terms of the agreement, NYX will also provide Nederlandse Loterij with its Open Gaming System (OGS), as well as full support and maintenance including hosting via its data centre in Paris.

Updating investors NYX CEO Matt Davey, detailed that Nederlandse Loterij would become one of his firm’s key clients stating;

“It is a privilege to be working with Nederlandse Loterij, who are a key player on the world lottery stage. The team has been a pleasure to work with and we look forward to developing our partnership over the coming months.”

Nederlandse Loterij merged with De Lotto in 2016 to create a €1bn (£725m) lottery operator. It houses seven well-known gambling entities in the Netherlands including brands such as Staatsloterij, Lotto, Toto, Eurojackpot, Miljoenenspel, Lucky Day and Krasloten, which invest significantly  in Dutch sport and 18 charities in the area of health and movement.

Joost den Heijer, COO Nederlandse Loterij backed NYX group as system partner “At every stage of our collaboration, NYX has lived up to its reputation as a world-leading gaming content and platform provider. Moving to its OPS and a single player database has been highly beneficial to Nederlandse Loterij and we look forward to many more years of success together.”
