Nederlandse Loterij has promoted Arno de Jong to the new position of Chief Customer Officer of the Dutch national lottery.
The appointment sees Nederlandse Loterij continue its leadership reorganisation, which in May saw former CFO Arjan Blok appointed Chief Executive of the Dutch lottery, succeeding Niels Onkenhout.
Arno de Jong formerly served as Nederlandse Loterij’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) since 2016. Under his stewardship, de Jong led the merger of former De Lotto and Nederlandse Staatsloterij marketing teams, under the unified brand of Nederlandse Loterij.
The role of Chief Customer Officer has been strategically designed for de Jong, who will enhance his marketing responsibilities to lead a new customer strategy and commercial projects for Nederlandse Loterij.
Alexander Pechtold, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Nederlandse Loterij, explained: “Our range of attractive and safe games of chance via various channels is continuously developing. With Arno de Jong as CCO in the daily management of Nederlandse Loterij, we are putting our players even more centrally in the organisation.
So that we can continue to be leading and distinctive in the future – both digitally and in-store. With his entrepreneurial and creative spirit, Arno is the ideal person to guide Nederlandse Loterij in the desired further development.”
