Sports betting and betting pools technology provider,Sportech has completed the first phase of a multi-part technical delivery to Betfred. Sportech confirmed that the Sportech Racing and Digital division has completed the successful integration of Quantum System into Betfred’s Totepool business.

The introduction of Sportech’s Quantum System is the first phase of a multi-part project and was showcased at Royal Ascot last week.  Further implementation of Sportech’s betting products will now follow, including a G4 framework for online betting, Digital Link mobile and self-service betting terminals.

Sportech CEO Ian Penrose said: “I am delighted we passed this key milestone successfully at Royal Ascot last week. It is fantastic to achieve this so soon into the rollout plan across the UK. To add UK Horseracing to our growing customer base in over 30 countries further enhances the investment made in the quality of our software and hardware. Betfred have been a great partner to work with.”

The integration of Sportech’s Quantum System has allowed Betfred to simplify their betting systems, whilst also making Totepool products available for distribution to worldwide tote markets. The new digital and self-service technologies to be deployed in subsequent phases will significantly enhance the customer experience at a racecourse, online or on mobile devices.
