Ladbrokes Exchange to be Launched in Early 2014

Having acquired Global Betting Exchange Alderney Limited (GBEA), the operators digital sports betting exchange Betdaq for €30m in late February 2013, igaming operator Ladbrokes have began to the promotion of their first ever betting exchange ‘Ladbrokes Exchange’.

The acquired betting exchange will now work under the Ladbrokes brand and not as a seperate entity. Ladbrokes who have had a troubled year, reporting several profit warnings to the London Stock Exchange hope to have their new betting product fully available to customers by the starting months of 2014.The Exchange will be functional alongside Ladbrokes traditional fixed odds sports betting service.

Ladbrokes intend to publish new product innovations and games portfolios in 2014. The operator has signed a partnership agreement with igaming software and games suppliers – Playtech. Ladbrokes will also focus delivery of new products on mobile and tablet devices as the operator looks to strengthen its resources on digital channels and product delivery

Ladbrokes have already displayed an ‘Exchange’ tab on its betting client.When clicked on, the Exchange tab button customers are taken to a video promotion of the upcoming product. Te video shows a colony of ant working on creating a Ladbrokes Exchange betting logo with the words “We’ve been working hard, day and night…to bring you…Ladbrokes Exchange.” ( please see video below )

Peter Webb editor of the Bet Angel Blog reported that the domain name www.ladbrokesexchange.com, was first registered over 11-years ago, so someone had the idea long before the Betdaq option became available.

Ladbrokes Exchange Promotional Video
