Stellar Sport Stars Line Up for 5050Sports Licensed Casino Games

50502New casino game 5050Sports, which incorporates officially licensed archive video clips, has launched with variants fronted by and featuring Michael Owen, Michael Vaughan, Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton and Simon ‘The Wizard’ Whitlock.

BetVictor is the first operator to partner with 5050Sports and the title has proven an instant success, going straight into the bookmaker’s top 20 games.

The concept requires no player education. Based on the simplest and oldest wagering premise of all – ‘red or black’ and ‘heads or tails’ – 5050Sports gives players a straight ‘yes or no’ choice as to whether an incident will occur, for example ‘Does the player score the penalty?’, ‘Does he hit a 180?’ or ‘Will it be a boundary?’.

Once the selection has been made – the odds on BetVictor are always 5/6 – an accredited RNG shows a short video clip relating to the question and the bet outcome is determined within five seconds. 5050Sports uniquely incorporates classic highlights from international football, world championship boxing, world cricket, tennis, PDC darts, Premier League snooker, greyhounds and motorsport.

5050Sports benefits from offering a high turnover of on-demand betting opportunities as players aim to build winning streaks and set their own and break other peoples’ personal bests. It is available in both standalone and mini game format, where 5050Sports will sit alongside in-play and pre-event pages to offer quick bet options for punters.

Fixed stakes start at £1 and go up to £100, while high rollers can play in the VIP edition at up to £1,000 a time. It is also possible to place lower-denomination wagers through the ‘Bet Change’ feature that offers custom bets related to the individual player’s account.

“We’ve assembled a who’s who of sporting stars and they are far more than just ambassadors – they are fully immersed and interactive,” said Stuart Carr, founder of 5050Sports, who also launched online wagering games Passoker and Reel Sports.

“5050Sports is quick to understand, play and reward. It takes gaming back to basics and is ideal for today’s ‘snacking’ generation of online and mobile players,” he added.

“Despite its simplicity 5050Sports is incredibly innovative,” said Eoin Ryan, head of sportsbook at BetVictor. “There is no other game out there like it – it is effectively the first-ever branded heads and tails – and is attracting traditional sports bettors as well as games players.”

Alongside popular sports commentator Jim Rosenthal, each representative presents footage from the sport with which they are associated, to the backdrop of officially licensed footage.

Former Ashes-winning England captain Vaughan, who appears in 5050Sports Cricket, said: “I’m delighted to be involved with 5050Sports. It is great fun to play and a game that everyone can relate to.”

Ex-England, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United hero Owen sits in the studio with Rosenthal for the international football game. He said: “I love the 5050Sports concept and the fact that it has so much real sports footage. It really is incredibly easy to understand and I am sure it will be a big hit with punters.”

Multiple world title holder Hatton and top Australian darts professional Whitlock are the faces of Boxing and PDC Darts respectively. Darren Clarke, the 2010 Open champion, has also agreed a deal with 5050Sports for a golf version of the game. Endorsed Premier League Snooker, Motorsport and Greyhounds editions will follow.
