Stake supports LatAm growth strategy with FCB Melgar sponsorship

One of Peruvian football’s oldest teams FCB Melgar has confirmed Stake.com as its official sponsor for the 2025 season.

Under the terms of the deal, Stake’s logo will be featured across the chest of the men’s, women’s, and Liga 3 team kits, marking the first time a sponsor has supported all three sides.

Diana Otálora, Latam Manager at Stake, saoid: “At Stake, we are proud to partner with FBC Melgar, a historic club that represents passion and excellence, reinforcing our vision of connecting with sports communities in Latin America and actively contributing to their success.

“This agreement, in the context of the growing regulated market in Peru, reflects our intention to contribute to the development of football at all levels and our presence in the region.”

Stake has offered incentives to the “Rojinegros” fans already, providing supporters with a free bet on its Peruvian platform to “experience the excitement of football with even more passion”.

The partnership supports Stake’s Latin America growth strategy, with the betting brand recently expanding its footing in the region.

Stake is already an established brand in Europe and North America, generally connecting more with a younger gambling demographic than its competitors due to its digital-first stance and partnership portfolio.

“This alliance with Stake reinforces our commitment to keep FBC Melgar as a reference in Peruvian and South American football,” added Ricardo Bettocchi, Administrator of FBC Melgar.

“Having the support of an international brand that trusts our project is a great step to continue strengthening all our categories. We are excited about the benefits that this collaboration will bring to our institution and to the entire ‘rojinegra’ family.”

Like many gambling companies, Stake relies heavily on brand ambassadors and sports marketing to build up its user base.

Recent activity has highlighted the company’s ambitions in Latin America, signing former Argentine footballer Sergio Agüero and UFC star Alex Pereira as brand ambassadors in 2024.
