Bet365 has revealed that £1.4m was paid out on its free-to-play 6 Scores Challenge in 2024.
The bookmaker reported that millions of people took part in the game throughout the year to give themselves a chance to win consolation prizes, or even get the perfect six predictions alongside a share of £250,000.
In total, 6 Scores Challenge winners claimed £500k, with four Bet365 customers being crowned.
Meanwhile, there were multiple winners during one gameweek, and a single winner on another, resulting in a total of £500,000 being handed out across those 6 Scores perfectionists.
The first group of winners were announced in September with a share of the £250,000 top prize being claimed; the trio of winners walked away with just over £83,000 each.
Then, just over one month later, an individual 6 Scores Challenge winner would be crowned to see someone claim 100% of that weekly £250,000 prizepot.
Significantly, this week the operator has also outlined its performance for the 12 months to 31 March 2024, displaying group revenue of £3.72bn.
This showed an increase of 9% on the bookmaker’s 2022-23 revenue of £3.41bn.
