888AFRICA has brought its betting portfolio to Malawi and the country’s population of over 19 million people.
This was announced on the company’s LinkedIn page today, in a post brandishing a brand new advertisement for 888bets to commemorate the launch in the African state.
In the advertisement, we can see a football player getting ready to come out on the pitch, walking in a dark tunnel as the stadium’s lights turn on in front of him. This is followed by another player doing a scissor kick in the next shot.
As the football travels to the goal, tests pop out throughout the sequence, notifying the audience that the brand has been around since 1997 and that since it has managed to amass 50 million customers around the globe.
A man can then be seen scrolling through the 888bets sportsbook, looking at the results and odds. The 30-second ad ends with the words “Now Available in Malawi”, followed by 888bets’ logo and the slogan “Made To Win Bigger”.
Malawi marks the seventh market where 888AFRICA is now active. These also include Portuguese-speaking Mozambique and Angola. To unlock additional growth opportunities there, the firm recently launched a sponsorship deal with SL Benfica – a team competing in Liga Portugal.
