BetMGM UK extends Newcastle partnership after “exceptional” first year

BetMGM UK has stepped up at Newcastle United FC to become the club’s official betting partner in an extended partnership.

The enhanced deal will see the LeoVegas Group-owned betting brand displayed on the LEDs, big screens and static boards around St James’ Park – Newcastle United’s home stadium. 

Sam Behar, UK Director of BetMGM, commented: “Our BetMGM partnership with Newcastle United has been a success, and we are delighted to continue building on this fruitful collaboration. 

“The club is incredibly ambitious, and their drive perfectly aligns with our group’s core values. I can’t wait to get this season started and see Newcastle United continue on their journey.”

The Premier League side has also stated that fans and customers can anticipate engaging in various partnership activities, including exclusive experiences and giveaways.

“Newcastle United and BetMGM have had an exceptional first year together,” added Peter Silverstone, Chief Commercial Officer at Newcastle United. 

“We have helped BetMGM to drive brand awareness and engagement in key markets, supporting its aim to create the world’s greatest igaming experience.

“This new agreement is testament to how effective the club’s profile and support have been to BetMGM, and we are delighted to enhance our support of one another on the next step of our exciting journeys.”

This deal builds on the success of the pair’s initial year in partnership, announced in September 2023, which helped BetMGM build a reputation in the UK and across Europe. 

The biggest driver of this was Newcastle’s participation in the Champions League – however, the club will not be in the competition this year.

Notably, this week BetMGM also became the official European betting partner of fellow Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

This two-year deal will give the operator even further exposure in the English top-flight, with BetMGM branding at Molineux Stadium on the double row pitch-side LED advertising system, interview backdrops, as well as around Compton Park.
