Sazka integrates Neccton gambling compliance following OpenBet acquisition

OpenBet has strengthened its partnership with Sazka after delivering Neccton’s gambling compliance products to the Czech Republic lottery operator.

Allwyn Group-owned Sazka has now integrated the AI-based solution across its lottery, sportsbook and casino offerings.

This marks the first launch of Neccton’s technology after the responsible gaming, anti-money laundering (AML) and fraud detection company was acquired by OpenBet in June of this year.

Jason Ayton, VP of Corporate Development and Strategy at OpenBet, commented: “Partnering with Sazka to integrate Neccton’s leading technology across a number of its offerings demonstrates the core reason we expanded our capabilities within the gambling compliance arena.”

It was noted that the launch marks the ‘next chapter’ of the lottery’s partnership with OpenBet, after its sportsbook arm, Sazkabet, transitioned onto OpenBet’s sports betting technology and services in July 2022.

“Operators are keen to extend their resources in this area, and now we have the product suite to cater to those demands following our acquisition of Neccton,” Ayton continued.

Operating across more than 30 countries, Neccton has more than 15 years of experience in developing software and services for the gaming sector.

“Sazka is about fun and responsibility,” highlighted Pavel Gernt, Player Protection Manager at Sazka.

“In addition to complying with all legislation, we also take a number of measures beyond the law. We are dedicated to prevention, early identification of risky players and cooperation with non-profit institutions that are able to lend a helping hand.

“No matter how good the intervention strategies you have in place, you can’t use them if you are blind, therefore we decided to implement Neccton’s compliance toolkit and further improve the quality of detection of players at risk.”

In recent weeks, OpenBet also deepened its relationship with Vixio Regulatory Intelligence to optimise the compliance capacity of its technology units operating across 44 jurisdictions globally.

Cited as a key partnership, OpenBet now continues to utilise Vixio’s intelligence tools and market monitoring resources to ensure its tech platforms and systems are compliant across all corresponding markets.
