W88 to prominently feature on Burnley kit for 2023/24 season

W88 has been confirmed as the official shirt sponsor of Burnley FC, covering the 2023/24 season.

The new shirt featuring the gambling operator’s logo will be worn by both the men’s and women’s first teams for the upcoming campaign as the club makes its return to the Premier League.

Hilly Ehrlich, W88 Business Development Manager, stated: “We’re hugely passionate about Premier League football and delighted to partner with Burnley FC as the team returns to the Premier League.

“With Vincent Kompany at the helm, we’re excited to see the team perform well this season.”

The Philippines-founded operator has previously sponsored several teams in the English top flight, such as Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City.

W88 has stated that the partnership enables the company to reach a ‘worldwide audience’ and grow internationally.

“Following lengthy discussions we are pleased to confirm W88 as our front of shirt sponsor for the upcoming season,” added Stuart Hunt, Burnley FC Director. “As a newly promoted club, a partnership such as this plays a significant role in helping us to compete in the Premier League.

“W88 have established successful relationships with several Premier League clubs and sports brands across the globe and we have been impressed by their experience, knowledge and proactive nature in this area.

“I’m looking forward to developing a successful partnership together over the course of the season.”

Additionally, the firm will also receive visibility both across Turf Moor stadium on match days and through the club’s digital channels.

W88 will work ‘hand-in-hand’ with the Clarets on community projects and initiatives, engaging with supporters and assisting in the club’s charitable activities.

Last year, Crystal Palace FC made the decision to replace W88 by announcing cinch as its new official front of shirt sponsor for the 2022/23 season.

This came during a time during discussions of a betting sponsorship ban throughout football – a proposal which has now been agreed to by the English top-flight, as betting sponsors are to be removed from the front of team kits as of the 2026/27 season.
