Betano has inked with NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo who becomes the operator’s first-ever global brand ambassador.
A two-time NBA MVP and 2021 NBA Champion, Antetokounmpo joins the online sports betting and gaming operator in a partnership that will include branded content, events and community outreach work throughout the Betano markets.
George Daskalakis, Co-Founder and CEO, Kaizen Gaming, said: “We could not have asked for a better global brand ambassador for our brand Betano.”
The Milwaukee Bucks player – otherwise known as The Greek Freak – and Kaizen Gaming, Betano’s parent company, share a common Greek ‘heritage’. Kaizen is currently active in 12 countries throughout Europe, Latin and North America.
“Besides being the best active basketball player in the world, Giannis embodies all that we value at Kaizen Gaming, and that is hard work, commitment, continuous improvement and above all, humility,” Daskalakis continued.
“While our fields might be different, we see in him all that we stand for and aim our brand and our company to be, a top international player with both feet on the ground.”

Kaizen Gaming continues to expand its links to major sports, such as FC Porto, Sporting CP and SL Benfica in Portugal, Oympiacos FC, Panathinaikos FC and PAOK FC in Greece, as well as Atletico Mineiro and Fluminense in Brazil.
Kaizen was also the first company in the industry to sign a deal with FIFA to sponsor a World Cup, during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
This month Betano also expanded its partnership with the Romanian Sports Motor Federation for the National Rally Championship. In 2023, the Romanian motorsport competition will now be named the Betano National Rally Championship (CNRB).
