Southeast Europe bookmaker, Meridianbet, has secured an agreement with Serbian basketball team KK Crvena zvezda.
Meridianbet branding will be placed on the shirts of the Euroleague side – Serbia’s basketball champions.
Meanwhile, the operator has also been given the title of the club’s official betting partner, gaining ‘prominent presence’ at all home games.
“This partnership is a natural fit for Meridianbet,” a statement from the firm read. “By partnering with KK Crvena zvezda, Meridianbet is able to further cement its commitment to the sports industry and contribute to the growth and development of basketball in the region.”
Additionally, the company will aim to leverage its communication channels to promote the club and engage with its ‘passionate’ fan base, both in ABA and Euroleague. The team is now also commonly referred to as KK Crvena zvezda Meridianbet.
Furthermore, KK Crvena zvezda revealed that the sponsorship marks a ‘major achievement’ for the club, as it continues to build on its success in the Euroleague.
“With the support of Meridianbet, the club will be able to further enhance its performance on and off the court, as it strives to achieve even greater heights in the world of basketball,” it stated.
Meridianbet has been operating in the EU, South America, and African markets for over 10 years, whilst holding partnerships with more than 20 football and basketball clubs.
