GiG tech deal

GiG secures enhanced Spanish presence via Sportnco division

Gaming Innovation Group’s (GiG) Sportnco sportsbook unit has signed its latest commercial partner, Spanish group Starcasino Group.

Marking GiG’s 14th partnership in the Spanish igaming market, the three-year deal will support Starcasino’s entry into the space, where it will operate both sportsbook and casino products.

GiG’s role in the company’s launch will focus on leveraging its existing standing in Spain, whilst implementing its sportsbook and player account management (PAM).

Hervé Schlosser, Managing Director of Sportnco Gaming at GiG, said: “I am really pleased to have signed this partnership with Starcasino, to power their entry into the appealing Spanish market.

“I am convinced that our combined sportsbook, platform technology and regulatory experience is well suited to help established operators like Starcasino power into new regulated markets.”

The firm aims to deliver ‘localised and personal casino journeys’ along with a strong return on sports betting for its new partner, identifying Spain as a ‘competitive and regulated’ target market.

For GiG, the agreement is the latest in a series of partnerships, with platform supply deals inked in Q3 with the likes of Luckiest.com, Kings Media, Grupo Boldt, Betsson and Aspers Group, driving revenue growth of 35%.

A prominent firm in its native market of Belgium, where it operates in both the online and land-based casino space, Starcasino has set an objective of finding similar success in the Spanish sector.

“We feel very pleased to have reached an agreement with the GiG Group,” remarked Alejandro Casanova, Country Manager for Starcasino Spain.

“After many years of work and success in Belgium we have initiated our expansion to other markets, and in Spain have selected GiG’s technologies to successfully face the challenges.”
