Lauding its first step in the North American and Latin American gaming sectors, Novibet has secured a market launch in Mexico.
The online sports betting and casino operator, founded in Greece and headquartered in Malta, plans to use Mexico as a springboard for further expansion in both North and South America.
A long-term resident of the European gaming space, Novibet is active in its native Greece, as well as Ireland and Italy, but has begun securing market access agreements in North American jurisdictions.
Mexico is the first of these to come to fruition, but as Rodolfo Odoni, the company’s President, noted, there were outstanding agreements in the US igaming hub states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
He explained: “Our technological superiority combined with the proven readiness of our team to respond to industry challenges are the two pillars upon which we are building Novibet’s entry into the demanding Mexican market, as the first stop of our broad expansion in the Americas.
“We are constantly reinforcing our dynamic presence in Greece, Ireland and Italy, while we have already signed market access agreements for the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
“At the same time, we are currently negotiating additional market access agreements and acquisition of licences in other States of the USA, in the upcoming period.”
Making its North and Latin American debut in Mexico, Novibet stated that it aims to ‘remain flexible’ to local market demands whilst updating its online platform and mobile apps to ‘meet and exceed the expectations of consumers on both sides of the Atlantic.
The development comes towards the end of an eventful year for Novibet, which is preparing to merge with Artemis Strategic Investment Corporation (Artemis), in doing so, securing a listing on the New York Nasdaq.
This would further enhance the firm’s standing in the US, coupled with an on-the-ground presence in Mexico, providing a major boost to its operations since vacating the British market earlier this year.
“November is a key month for us as we planned the launch of Novibet in Mexico to coincide with the much-anticipated World Cup Tournament,” said Christoforos Bozatzidis, Novibet’s Chief Marketing Officer for International Markets.
“The upgraded online sports betting and iGaming entertainment experience we offer through our innovative technology platform is already available in Mexico and our team is ready to meet the special preferences and entertainment needs of the demanding local audience.
“So, leveraging our award-winning technology combined with excellent timing, our goal for the next period is to stand out as one of the leading online entertainment options in Mexico and gradually in the wider LatAm region.”
