BoyleSports is seeking a new leader for its online division, after incumbent Eddie Bennett announced his departure from the Irish betting group.
Posting a LinkedIn update last Friday, Bennett confirmed that he had chosen to end his six-year tenure as Digital MD of BoyleSports.
“Today is my final day at BoyleSports, drawing a close to an exciting and challenging chapter in my career,” he wrote.
Leaving BoyleSports’ executive team, Bennett stated that he would be “taking some time to recharge” but was willing to offer mentorship to “anyone who is starting out in their career or is struggling professionally or personally and would value a chat”.
Bennet joined BoyleSports in 2016, tasked with overhauling the Dundalk betting group’s digital offering and operations to support an aggressive expansion within the UK betting market, whilst continuing to bolster the group’s market-share within its home of Ireland.
Reflecting on his tenure, Bennet said: “There were numerous headwinds during my tenure but navigating challenges is one of the things that I find most rewarding after all life would be very boring if it was all plain sailing.
“This role gave me the opportunity to really test myself and consequently I’ve developed both professionally and personally for which I’m very grateful.”
BoyleSports confirmed to SBC that it had begun an executive search for Bennett’s replacement, and will inform the media in due course with regards to the leadership of its online units.
