Setka Cup opens new table tennis tournament location in Prague

The Setka Cup table tennis tournament is now active in the European Union after opening a new location in Prague, Czech Republic, adding to the rooms it had used in Ukraine across Kyiv, Dnipro and Lviv.

The international platform, powered by BETER, is now played across 12 rooms with a total area of 3,487 sq. meters. It currently consists of 700 active players, with the tournament holding more than 7,100 matches per month.

Each game lasts up to 30 minutes on average, and can have up to 20 betting markets. Live analytics and detailed player statistics are made available by BETER for each game.

“The launch of the location in the European Union is a significant step for the Setka Cup,” said BETER founder and CEO Alex Barkar. “The eponymous location in Prague will hold four table tennis tournaments each day, and all participants are local players.

“As a result, we increase the quantity and variety of events for our clients and strengthen the trustworthiness of our product. The partnership agreement with the largest betting operator in the Czech Republic – Tipsport is a case in point.”

A statement from the tournament organisers read: “We constantly get inquiries from foreign sports communities about the Setka Cup brand’s presence in other countries.

“We’ve chosen the Czech Republic to start with because of the local table tennis community’s considerable interest. Still, we plan to continue to develop our platform on an international level.”

Earlier this month, Barkar spoke to SBC News about the Setka Cup launch three years ago, which saw BETER equip the first arenas and training rooms in accordance with international standards, set up a security system, develop an effective schedule and gather a dedicated team of traders.

Through taking these steps, Barkar explained, BETER has helped to create a complex product that includes reliable tournaments, 24/7 live streams, accurate odds and stable live data.
