Betdaq announces free trading for Cheltenham 2021

Global betting exchange Betdaq (Entain Plc) has announced a commission-free offer on all sports across the four days of the upcoming Cheltenham Festival.

The operator’s traders will be able to take advantage of 0% commission on all 28 races taking place during the festival (16-19 March), in addition to other major sporting events held during the same period, including UEFA Champions League and Europa League fixtures, the India v England Twenty20 international cricket match and the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic.

Both new and existing customers can take advantage of the offer throughout the festival, one of the most highly anticipated horse racing events in the calendar as well as one of the most prominent jump racing events, popular with enthusiasts in both the UK and Ireland.

“We are always looking at how we can best serve our customers and this offer is part of our drive to do that,” said Mark Harkin, Head of Marketing at Betdaq.

“We’ve made the decision to go commission-free on all sports throughout Cheltenham Festival – one of the busiest weeks of the year.

“It’s very exciting for us that we can bring this offer to new and existing customers. The races come thick and fast at Cheltenham and there’s plenty of top-class sporting action going on elsewhere to trade on.”

The offer builds on a similar promotion launched by the operator for Boxing Day sporting fixtures, which enabled traders to benefit from 0% commission on the day’s full schedule of horse racing as well as the Premier League clash between Arsenal and Chelsea and the international cricket match between Australia and India

Aside from football, horse racing, greyhound racing and cricket, it is a standard policy at Betdaq to offer 0% commission on all sports products. The commission structure was first introduced in December 2020, following success in the tennis markets.

Speaking at the time of the launch, Betdaq Managing Director, Shane McLaughlin, stated that the firm intended to ‘reward customers with a fantastic betting experience,’ in addition to enabling users to ‘increase liquidity and have access to the best price on tennis in the industry’.
