Pronto…Colijuegos approval sees Gaming1 launch Zamba Colombia

Updating the market, European online gambling group Gaming1 has informed that it been approved a Colombia online gambling/betting licence by national regulator Colijuegos.

Gaming1 management states that its is the ‘first international operator’ to gain a license for Colombia’s a newly regulated online gambling market. The company will now move to launch new 50-50 joint venture Zamba.co in partnership with Barranquilla-based gambling firm Vicca Group.

Seeking to become the leading online gambling destination for Colombian digital consumers,  Zamba.co will offer Gaming1 slots, casino and betting provisions.

Updating stakeholders, a pleased Victor Aranedaz Gaming1 CEO, commented: “We are hugely proud to partner with Vicca Group in being awarded Colombia’s first joint online casino and sportsbook licence, and are sure that Zamba.co will prove a hit with players across the country.

Having relaxed regulatory policy for its online gambling market, Colijuegos has now opened the Colombian to foreign operators. A number of European operators such as Spain’s Group Cirsa Sportium and R.Franco have detailed that they plan to launch services for Colombia’s online market in the coming months.

Gaming1’s South American expansion will be led by Victor Araneda as the firm’s Director of Latin America,
