Fantasy sports operator Mondogoal have agreed a partnership with Tottenham to become the Premier League club’s Official Fantasy Sports Partner.
Few details have been revealed about the terms of the deal, but it’s been confirmed that Mondogoal will be developing a club branded fantasy football game for Spurs fans worldwide. This is intended to be launched before the beginning of the new Premier League campaign on August 8th, and will be promoted across the club’s digital channels.
Head of Business Development at Spurs, Aidan Mullally, said of the deal: “There is no doubt that fantasy football gaming is a growing engagement platform around the world, and we are proud to be able to offer this innovative opportunity to our fans through a partnership with Mondogoal.
Mondogoal’s Chief Executive, Shergul Arshad, stated: “Tottenham’s rich tradition of playing entertaining and attacking football and the club’s exciting plans for the future – including its partnership with the NFL and new stadium expansion – means we cannot think of a better fanbase to push fantasy football to throughout the world.”
The North London club recently agreed a separate deal with the NFL American football league which will see at least two NFL games, played at Tottenham’s new home ground, which is on course to be opened in 2018.
Mondogoal have had a introductory year thus far, after creating fantasy games for both the Women’s World Cup, and the Copa America 2015.
