The Isle of Man Department of Economic Development has confirmed the appointment of Mark Robson as Head of e-Gaming. He takes on the job after working for a number of years within the IT and gaming industries in a variety of roles.

Peter Greenhill, CEO, e-Gaming, Department of Economic Development said:

‘With over a decade of experience working for and with some of the biggest and most recognisable companies in the industry, Mark will bring invaluable insight to the e-Gaming team. His first-hand knowledge of what it takes to establish, grow and run successful gaming operations will no doubt reinforce the Isle of Man’s world class reputation as an e-Gaming centre of excellence and help the continued growth in a sector which is currently around 13% of our economy.’

Robson joins the Isle of Mann igaming team development team with an extensive knowledge of industry operations, having served igaming services provider Microgaming as a Head of Casino and Poker Networks.

In early 2013, Robson moved to Gibraltar to head the European Sales & Business Development team for SHFL Entertainment’s newly formed interactive division. After they were purchased by Bally Technologies, his role became based in Las Vegas as he took on global management for their igaming platform, as well as the relationships with the third parties integrating to it.

Mark Robson commented on his appointment: ‘I’m looking forward to working with Peter and the team to ensure that the Isle of Man remains the premier jurisdiction for gaming business.’
