Paddy Power withdraws BetDash from gaming inventory

Paddy Power has announced the removal of social sport betting game – BetDash from its gaming product inventory. The BetDash.com website has been ‘down for scheduled maintenance’ for several weeks as Paddy Power management revises its social gaming strategy.

The BetDash social betting product BetPal was launched in October 2012, with a view to launch  Paddy Power in the burgeoning social gaming market. The Social Sports betting product rewarded social gamers with weekly prizes for their predictions on various sporting events.

The product was aided by the support of a Paddy Power Social media campaigns and promotion to its player datebase.

In 2013 The BetDash product had won two EGR Operator Awards for Best Innovation and Best Start-Up in Igaming.

In May of this year,  Paddy Power management announced that it would undertake a revamp of its Social Gaming platforms, with the scheduled redesign of its Facebook betting platform. It is not yet known whether Paddy Power will continue with its BetDash social betting product.
